Masterclass Weddingcakes Peggy Porschen 2011

It seems like ages ago already, since the Peggy Porschen Masterclass in Weddingcakes has passed! But in fact, only a few weeks have passed. Pictures of the masterclass have been publiced on the wonderful, fresh and fashionable blog of The Perfect Wedding (ladies, thank you so much!).
Ofcourse I want to share some pictures and details with you as well! Because there is to much info to share in one blog, I'll write two, or maybe three, or more...We had such a marvellous time!

All of the students of the Peggy Porschen Masterclass in Weddingcakes 2011, exclusively taught for Sweet Appetite.

Vera (Cakes and Co) came from Belgium to attend the class. She is such a lovely, talented and sweet lady! Betty (No Mis Cake) and I met years ago and had a little reunion during the class. Betty, it was so lovely to meet up again and this time it won't take years!

The results; Wedding Cakes, three days work! Every student went home with two finished cakes and a big smile. It was so wonderful seeing these results after all the hours every one put in!

More to come in a next blog! As I said, there is so much to share!

New logo

Besides a new name and a new updated blog, you must have noticed my new logo! I'm so happy with it!
It was designed especially for Sweet Appetite by Janneke Hoeben; Culinary Illustrator.

Janneke graduated from the Art academy in Utrecht as a fashiondesigner. The collection she made for her final exams was an ode to food: "The seduction of food."
During her career as a fashiondesigner her inspiration almost always came from food. Different colours and flavours during different seasons, Janneke was inspired by it all.

Now, lucky for us, after ten years she started a new career; she's the most talented Culinary Illustrator!

Janneke designed my new logo and I'm so happy with. Besides a very talented and gifted lady, Janneke is also very nice and takes all the effort to understand what you want your design to be.

To see more off her work, check out her website and be suprised! Also, keep an eye on my blog because Janneke and I will team up soon...
