Life is good.

Get yourself a lovely cup of tea and sit back....To watch this wonderful movie made by Unicorn Wedding Films Ryan and Mascha don't just make weddingvideo's. They make a film in which you and your loved ones are captured in a way, you will share with your grandchildren over years to come. During the workshop of Christine Meintjes I was amazed about how invisable Ryan and Mascha were with their camera's. Somehow they captured all the beautiful moments of that day and amazed me with the end result. Without me seeing the camera.

When the movie was finished I was in Italy. And although I loved the little village where we stayed (in the middle of sunny, gorgeous Tuscany) , I got a bit frustrated when I received an email from Ryan and Mascha. I could only read the mail on my phone. Internet was something not really available together with our dolcis and cappucino....So I had to wait until we arrived at the house of our friends in Pisa before seeing the movie.
After dinner I rushed to the computer. There, in the old centre of Pisa, after having dinner in an Italian city garden underneath a heavenly smelling Wisteria, I watched this movie for the first time and was happy. Just plain happiness, that I get to work with so many talented, sweet, kind and inspiring people....Life is good. Just watch the movie :)

Christine Meintjes Part Two

The summer is pretty much gone in Holland...Weddings with bright, romantic colours are making room for Autumn and Winterweddings. So here is some last bit of bright yellow for you! Are you feeling the sunshine?
When Christine Meintjes told us the colour palette for this styled shoot I had my doubts, I admit...But I just love how all of the yellow turned out!

I adore the choice of flowers by Pink9Design. The little daisies, gorgeous yellow roses and also the very stylish succulents.

And how about the gorgeous stationary from Marrywise (Cardwise)... Photo by Anouscka Rokebrand.

The next photo was made by the sweet and talented Anouschka Rokebrand. I love the summer colours in this picture. And the beautiful couple in this styled shoot were actually just married in real life! Have a look at their own weddingday here

Christine Meintjes made some photo's of Nelleke and Marinus that made me silent. And that doesn't happen a lot :)

Just one more then...Because you need to see this one!

Christine Meintjes Workshop

If you found me on Facebook (yes, the facebook button on my site is coming soon...), then you must have seen these photo's already! But hey, they are all so gorgeous and inspiring, you won't mind to see them again, will you :) ?

The wonderful, sweet and talented Anouschka Rokebrand is not only one of my most favourite wedding photographers in Holland. She and her husband Raymond organize workshops in Holland, taught by worldwide leading wedding photographers. I think it's so amazing Anouschka and Raymond take the time to do all this and still make gorgeous photo's themselves! And I also think it's so wonderful that she creates the opportunity for other photographers to learn and get inspired!

Christine Meijntjes visited Holland recently to teach a workshop wedding photography and Anouscha arranged together with Jo-Anne van der Lelij a styled location for Christine and the students to work in. Guess who was lucky enough to make the cake..? All the vendors I got to meet that wonderful yellow day and work with were so kind and inspiring!

Christine is an amazingly talented wedding photographer from South Africa and co-founder of The Pretty Blog! Just take a look of the photo's she took this day.. More to come in another blog, there is so much eye candy to share! Promise I will talk less and let the photo's tell the story..

Vintage!

How I love one of the trends of this weddingseason; Vintage!
Finally there is a word I can use to tell my husband why I just bought another "special item"...
And to match this trend so dear to me, a design just ment for a vintage wedding!

It's not always necessary to have a large cake. It's all in the details!

Lucky for me, my sweet mother in law has a wonderful collection with all kinds of vintage lace, some saved from even before the fifties...Don't you just love familymembers with collections like that!
